Ambos em plástico e a metade de preço do material novo. Dá uma espreitadela às fotos e descrição. Como sempre, teremos todo o prazer responder a questões e podes sempre visitar-nos para ver mais de perto! .. ou faz-nos uma oferta!

Seguindo o processo de evolução natural, surge no seio da família RPF mais um surfkayak, desta vez é o Shark II o alvo de todas as atenções, pois pegamos no modelo mais polivalente dos surfkayaks SOT e apostamos em melhorar apenas algumas das caraterísticas responsáveis pelo sucesso deste modelo.

A evolução é muito discreta e quase impercetível, mas quando olhamos mais atentamente para o novo Shark, especialmente quando comparando com o modelo antigo, vemos que as alterações são profundas e responsáveis por um ganho muito significativo em performance e também em estabilidade, afinal não queremos comprometer a estabilidade e facilidade de evolução que fizeram do Shark um modelo de sucesso no kayaksurf.

Com um casco fish-tail, plano, patins mais acentuados, v-bottom mais acentuado e com um rail mais progressivo o Shark II permite dropar ondas mais rápidas e cavadas especialmente pela maior rapidez no arranque e porque consegue gerar velocidade mais rapidamente, deste modo as ondas maiores, mais cavadas e as secções mais agressivas são ainda mais fáceis de enfrentar, tudo sem sacrificar a estabilidade primária e aumentando a estabilidade secundária podemos afirmar que este Shark II é resultado da evolução natural e de muito trabalho e horas de surf!!

ENG: As a result of the evolution of the species, the new Shark II is born! It's the old model, together with an all new set of surf skills.

At the first sight the evolution is minimal, very discrete, but looking carefully one can see all the changes and improvements we put in this new Shark II. Fish-tail, flat bottom, bigger patins, more v-bottom, progressive rails, and more....al of this new design features are responsible for more speed, and turning ability in stepper waves, without loosing speed and power. All of this with an increased primary and secondary stability, because we don't want to sacrifice any of the compromise between performance and fun!

Fruto da organização conjunta do Grupo de Facebook, W&K Surf @ Lisbon e do núcleo de Actividades de Aventura da Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologia, este encontro permitiu a todo os interessados terem o primeiro contacto com estes novos modelos.

MASTER SURFING IN THE UK!!

Mais um surfkayak em terras de Sua Majestade, desta vez um Master o maior da linha de Sit-on-top, e recente vencedor da última prova do Circuito Nacional de Kayaksurf e Waveski de 2011. Já nos chegou o report e ficámos muito contentes por saber que a opinião foi francamente positiva e ultrapassou as todas as expectativas. Fica o report em baixo!

ENG: The first Master sent to the UK has arrived and it's already surfing in North Shore. The Master it's the Shark bigger brother and it's a great sit-on-top surfkayak for beginners, bigger paddlers or to surf in bigger conditions. It's really fast and fun to surf in...if you think it's not a performance machine, just remember Master had won in the final event of the Portuguese National Kayaksurf and Waveski Circuit!! ;-))

Date: 27th November 2011
Location: North Bay, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England.
Conditions: Waves 1m, Temp 8 0C, Wind 48-64 km/h.
Experience of rider: 5 years experience on plastic SOT surf kayaks.
Size of rider: 5ft 11 inches, 100Kg.


The 1st RPF Master sit on top surf kayak arrived in the UK and was taken for its first surfing session at North Bay, Scarborough, England. The conditions were challenging with very strong winds at 48-64 km/h with even stronger gusts at times. However the Master was easy to handle even when trying for the first time, and produced good results (and plenty of fun) despite the challenging weather. The foundation for this was the good stability of the kayak that allowed the rider plenty of confidence in the surf.  Punching out through the surf was easy, the kayak has good rocker and easily rode over all wave sizes, either unbroken or white water.  Turning was straight-forward and catching waves was noticeably easier than on plastic SOT kayaks.  The kayak holds the wave face nicely and was responsive to movements of the body and paddle when working the wave face. Of particular note was the ability to break easily out of the broken surf thus avoiding the sideways ‘bongo slide’.  Carrying to/from the beach and general handling are easy due to the lighter weight and more manageable size of this kayak.  This kayaker was looking to break away from using heavy plastic SOT surf kayaks and was looking for the next level of performance in a SOT format. The Master more than adequately fulfilled this requirement, provided good stability for a kayaker of greater stature and gave excellent indications of enhanced performance on numerous occasions during this first trip out. Can’t wait for the next surf session! Thanks RPF!

Novos modelos de surfkayaks para 2012!! / New 2012 surfkayak models!!

Depois de muitos testes, correcções e melhorias estão quase prontos os novos surfkayaks da RPF para 2012. Aperfeiçoarmos a qualidade e técnicas de construção dos nossos kayaks, remodelamos a nossa frota e conjugamos linhas equilibradas e requisitos técnicos de modo a lançar dois novos modelos de elevada beleza e harmonia.

O Spin foi desenhado com as mesmas linhas do nosso waveski Blast, até porque queríamos o mesmo tipo de resposta e agressividade nas ondas mas agora num sit-inside. Com algumas alterações ao nível do casco de modo a permitir maior permissividade no arranque e com uma traseira ainda mais solta, optamos por usar uma configuração tri plane to vee e com rails progressivos o que garantem a velocidade e capacidade de atacar as manobras e ondas mais radicais com muita confiança!

O novo Shark apesar de ter mantido toda a sua beleza, sofreu  grandes alterações no casco, com a redução do rocker traseiro, para maior velocidade, alteramos também a configuração do casco, agora mais aproximado ao do Blast e do Spin, permitindo maior performance, segurança e maneabilidade. É cada vez mais um modelo polivalente e capaz de satisfazer tanto iniciados como os mais exigentes PRÓS!!

After many tests, corrections and improvements we are nearing completion of the new 2012 RPF surfkayak collection. We improve the quality and construction techniques of our kayaks, to reshape our fleet and conjugate balanced lines and technical requirements, to launch two new models of high beauty and harmony.

Spin was designed along the same lines of our Blast waveski, because we wanted the same kind of response and aggressiveness in the waves but now a sit-inside kayak. With some modifications to the hull, to allow greater permissiveness drooping waves, and with a looser back, we chose to use a tri plane to vee configuration, with progressive rails that ensure speed, and the ability to attack radical waves and maneuvers with increased confidence!

The new Shark maintained all its beauty, but we undergone major changes in the hull, with the reduction of the rear rocker for increased speed, we also changed the configuration of the hull, now closer to the Blast and Spin, allowing higher performance, security and manageability. It is becoming more versatile surfkayak and it's capable of satisfy both beginners and the most demanding PRO surfers!

The new Ophion Katana slices through the water like a knife, it’s smooth, balanced, powerful and light. We wanted to compliment the already powerful aggressive existing range with something a little less aggressive giving the paddler a smoother more traditional stroke. The unique dihedral ridge on the powerface keeps the paddle stable while it slices through the water on a draw stroke. Had 16 athletes enrolled and continues to take many surfkayak enthusiasts to the water. The model Shark delights all because it's easy, fast and versatile on the waves. Rui Fonseca, shaper and owner of the RPF, also participated and came to the podium;) Below you can check the results of one more RPF Trophy edition that was held at the Open Bastiagueiro, Galicia, Spain. NEW SHARK 2012 VERSION ALMOST DONE!!

O nosso emblemático modelo de surfkayak sit-on-top o Shark está a ser alvo de um autêntico restyling, "O Shark, sem perder a identidade, está a ficar diferente. Apresenta as mesmas dimensões mas estamos a mudar a passagem da proa para a zona dos pés, ficando esta mais discreta. Estamos a eliminar a zona do finca pés que nunca ninguém usou e vamos arredondar o vinco de saída de água do cockpit. No casco é que estão a ser feitas as verdadeiras alterações. Estamos a redesenhar rails com a habitual permissividade e boa saída de água que vão certamente proporcionar uma maior velocidade e versatilidade". Em breve teremos mais fotos e novidades ;-))

RPF Kayaks is at this moment with two new projects in hands: a new sit-in and a the restyling of the Shark model. This sit-on-top is one of the most emblematic surfkayaks of the portuguese brand and now, we are changing some details in it. Essentially, is all about the rail, tail and also the bottom. The surfkayak will be with the same measures but more easy to surf, and a lot faster than the actual model. Keep an eye on the news!!

CNKW - RPF Blast goes all the way to the finals in Figueira!!

João Vaz, with our new Blast waveski, got all the way to the finals in the last event of the Portuguese Kayaksurf and Waveski National Circuit, managing to get the 4º overall place, one of the best results of the year for João and the best result for a molded waveski this year. Competing with a custom made waveski and making the transitions from the Maori Sit-on-top a year ago, João had showed that the Blast can bee a real performance waveski with great potential and with a fast learning curve…fast, durable, performance and fun to surf with!!

MASTER Wins in Portugal!!

Gonçalo Duarte won the Sit-on-top class in Figueira da Foz, the last event of the Portuguese national championship, riding one of your Master's!!

With bigger and faster waves, choosing the Master was the right choice to win the last 2 heats, with big scores, great surf, leaving all of his opponents behind. This where the perfect conditions to ride our Master...it's fast like an IC, and we can also surf and capable of making great maneuvers!!

RPF no Fama Show este Domingo na SIC!!

Hoje tivemos a oportunidade de dar uma alinha de kayaksurf no mínimo original! Tivemos o privilégio de ter como alunas a Laura Figueiredo e a Rita Andrade do programa Fama Show, que tiveram o seu primeiro contacto com o kayaksurf e...até domingo apenas podemos dizer que deram show!! ;-))

É já nos próximos dias 24 e 25 de Setembro que se realiza a 3ª prova a contar para o Circuito Nacional de Kayaksurf e Waveski. Este ano temos alguns atletas e amigos a competir pelos lugares cimeiros das várias categorias, pelo que desejamos o maior sucesso a todos os que vão participar e ao Figueira Kayak Clube pela organização de mais uma prova!

The 3rd and last competition event of the Portuguese National Kayaksurf and Waveski Circuit is happening next 24 and 25 of September in Figueira da Foz. We will attend to see all the best Portuguese riders surfing and showing off their skills...especially those riding our kayaks!! ;-))

Maori à descoberta do Japão

Regata dos Portos do Centro

Foi no passado fim-de-semana, 30 e 31 de Julho, aqui na Figueira da Foz que decorreu a etapa final da Regata dos Portos do Centro e que contou paralelamente com várias exposições de empresas ligada ao mar e à actividade portuária. Como não podia deixar de ser estivemos presentes e fizemos uma pequena amostra dos nossos produtos e das áreas onde trabalhamos...o balanço foi francamente positivo, até porque apesar do crescente reconhecimento da RPF Kayaks por esse mundo fora, não queremos deixar de estar presentes bem aqui no centro de Portugal e em especial na cidade que viu nascer e crescer a nossa marca.

Aos organizadores dese evento e a todos os que mais uma vez colaboraram conosco o nosso obrigado!
