Na construção de um surfkayak as variáveis rigidez e resistência são essenciais para determinar o desempenho final. Fibras como o carbono, com elevada rigidez, pecam pelos baixos índices de resistência pelo que são muitas vezes reforçadas fibras de aramida, resultando em tecidos mistos de carbono e kevlar, com elevada rigidez e resistência, mas a um preço bastante elevado.
Nós na RPF Kayaks conjugamos vários tipos de fibras e materiais compósitos de modo a que os nossos kayaks mantenham um equilíbrio entre estas variáveis, a rigidez, a resistência e o preço final. Quem não gostaria de ter um surfkayak leve e resistente, mas com um preço super apelativo?!?!
